A note on hotels in this area:
This aquatic center is located in downtown Charlotte - we've felt safe around
the aquatic center for several years but at least one of the nearby hotels is
not in a very good area. Several of our families and coaches stayed at the "Charlotte Days Inn"
last year - probably not a very safe area.
We've listed the hotels in the
immediate vicinity but also keep in mind that this aquatic center is 20 minutes
from the Huntersville hotels (listed on this page) if you'd like to stay in
Huntersville. And, there are other hotels near downtown.

Take the exit to the top of the hill and bear left.

Once you pass a hospital on your left, turn right onto Hwy. 70 West (CVS at
intersection)
Travel 1.9 miles, turn left on Laurel Rd. at the light
The pool is on the right at the dead end
Wilkesboro
Pool
Take 421S through North
Wilkesboro. After crossing the river, take exit 286B (Hwy 268) onto River Street
and head north (left). River Street becomes East Main Street and then West Main
Street. Continue through town until you get to the intersection of Wilkesboro
Road (to the left) and Oakwood Road (to the right) you will be able to see the
old YMCA (It is now Cornerstone Church) across the intersection on the left.
Go straight through the light
(268 turns left) and take the next left (Jefferson Street). Enter the first
parking lot on the right at the near end of the old YMCA/Cornerstone Church
building. --
