Time Standards

WST competes in USA Swimming and The Blue Ridge Swim League during the short course season.  Each swimmers' times are kept in a national database, as well as with the team.  At the end of season there is a championship swim meet for the Blue Ridge Swim league and for the state of North Carolina.

It is important for each swimmer to be familiar with the national standard times for their age group, as well as the  qualifying times for each championship meet. All of the meets WST competes in throughout the season are an opportunity for the swimmers to qualify for the championships.  After each meet the final results are posted on our web site. It is the swimmer's responsibility to keep up with their best times for the season.

Below are the national standard times and the championship meets.  Just click on what you are interested in to be linked to an explanation and the times.
